Please be aware that some webshops are using some awesome terms like UV-protected and/or UV-stabilized, however the exact specs of the fabric remain – at least – fairly unknow. #worrymate Just be sure whenever you order your cover online your seller can and should be able to give you the exact specs of the fabric used in the cover ordered.

From experience we know that some of the cheapest resellers are using 600D Polyester as a base fabric for their covers. This fabric is usually used to produce bags and is not suitable to be used for boatcover making as it will deteriorate very quickly.

Bluetex
Bluetex is our top of the line fabric. Bluetex is woven from solution dyed acrylic yarns. The use of acrylic has some inherent benefits over the use of polyester. For example; it does not hold water, acrylic is highly resistant against sunshine increasing its colorfastness, it doesn’t grow any mildew and has a soft luxurious touch.
